Hello!!  Thank you for visiting Funky Fairies

Funky Fairies started in 2002 at the back of my garage, I called myself 'Made by Lisa'. I've always been very arty/crafty and decided to make my own birth announcements when my second child was born in January 2002. I then really got the 'making cards bug' and made cards for every possible occasion. I was constantly told by friends that I should be selling these...so that's what I did! I put a portfolio together of general greetings cards and approached lots of local companies.  Gifts and crafts shops, and large offices with inhouse shops. I always attended local arts and crafts fayres, and had also started making personalised Photo Albums.  Many people approached me and asked if I made Wedding Stationery too?  This really got me thinking....

In 2003 I decided to really go for it, Funky Fairies was created.  I booked my first Wedding Fair at Thorpe Park in February 2004 and this was to be my big launch. It was such a hit that the house was extended to have a purpose built studio at the side.  My own workplace for Funky Fairies to operate and also a place for Clients to visit.

I wanted Funky Fairies to be very 'me'....  pink, fun and girly!!  This is what I love designing and making the most.  I adore my job and love it when I get a new challenge from a client.  I'm always coming up with new ideas and finding new inspiration.

I have several staff working for me that produce work to my very high standards.

Nearing 2007, the online shop was born.  This contained many different items,  including Photo Albums, Table Plans, Memory Boxes, Thank You Cards, and much, much more.

My passion is still very much making and creating things, so there will always be new designs and improvements being added.

Part of this has led me to have the new website developed, which is now online for the start of 2011.
